gallery images

Hello again !
I have created different categories in ‘Portfolio categories’ then created in ‘All Portfolio items’, the different categories. Then in “all Portfolio within each item, I go tot edit then go to visual composer then I have ‘ Image Gallery Settings’, that’s where I added all the pictures I wanted in each item but I can’t download more than 4.
I’m not sure it’s the way to create a gallery the way I did ?
So how can I create a Portfolio with Masonry style (like in the demo) but without detail page for the photo (only click open it bigger), do I have to use in the admin panel the left menu “Portfolio” and Add a New page for EACH photo even if the page will be empty as I do not need detail page? Or does it exist a fastest way to upload the photos in the portfolio ?
