Problems changing navigation background color

Hello,
when I try to change the color of the main navigation in the theme options > color options, nothing changes. At the moment I solve it via custom css. But I wonder why nothing happen, when I change the navigation color in the theme options? Is seems in generel, that some of the changes in the theme options, did not save correctly / do not change the website.
