How to add an image in the menu area, at the end, with a link on it?

Thanks, happy to hear that!

This is something you could do either by overriding the “header.php” file and adding the image directly into the code or by using a filter of the main navigation. E.g.:

// Callback function to add last item to the main navigation menu
function my_add_item_to_menu( $items = null, $args = null){
	
	if ( isset($args->container_class) && ('ish-ph-mn-center' == $args->container_class ) ){

		// Add item to the end of the menu navigation
		$my_item = '<li class="my-speciall-class">....</li>';

		$items = $items . $my_item;

	}

	return $items;
}

// Callback function to register the filters
function my_filters(){
	add_filter( 'wp_nav_menu_items', 'my_add_item_to_menu', 10, 2);	
}

add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_filters' );

// Callback function to add last item to the main navigation menu

function my_add_item_to_menu( $items = null, $args = null){

if ( isset($args->container_class) && ('ish-ph-mn-center' == $args->container_class ) ){

// Add item to the end of the menu navigation

$my_item = '

....

$items = $items . $my_item;

}

return $items;

}

// Callback function to register the filters

function my_filters(){

add_filter( 'wp_nav_menu_items', 'my_add_item_to_menu', 10, 2);

add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_filters' );

You will however have to decide where to place it and what styles to apply to it. You now know the idea but the hard work should be done by yourself ;)

P.S. make sure to test how it acts in responsive (mobile) menu and also in sticky menu when scrolling.

Hey,

First of all read this topic:

What is a child theme and how, but mainly why to use it?

Then just edit the “functions.php” file of the child theme and add the code we suggested above. It should add your item to the end of your navigation menu as a new item.

Make sure to edit the:

// Add item to the end of the menu navigation
$my_item = '<li class="my-speciall-class">....</li>';

1 2	// Add item to the end of the menu navigation $my_item = ' .... ';

Maybe something like:

// Add item to the end of the menu navigation
$my_item = '<li class="my-speciall-class"><a href="#"></a></li>';

1 2	// Add item to the end of the menu navigation $my_item = ' ';
