your theme’s still rocking…

I would like to add some custom SVG icons, where would I upload these too?

It’s very easy. If you open the SVG Icon element in page builder, below the icons you will see this:

To add your own SVG icons add them in a folder inside “ish-plugins/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/frontend/images/icon-sets/” in the child theme root.

So basically the steps are the following:

1. Use the starter child theme we provided (or use custom one) and activate it.
2. Prepare the icons you want to use in a folder
3. Create the following folder structure inside your child theme “ish-plugins/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/frontend/images/icon-sets/”
4. copy your folder with SVG icons inside this folder.
5. All done, have fun! :)

It hasn’t gone exactly as to plan, I set up the folder structure as per instruction and uploaded the .svg files.

When I view the files through the SVG Icon element in the page builder each .svg ins’t viewable. It seems to be seeing them as ‘sets.’

What I see in the page builder at the top above the default .svg files is below. I uploaded 66 icons is that too many?

2. Prepare the icons you want to use in a folder
4. copy your folder with SVG icons inside this folder.

As mentioned in our reply above you need to add all the svg into a folder and copy the whole folder (which represents one icons set) into the mentioned folder structure. So instead:

ish-plugins/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/frontend/images/icon-sets/Tumblr.Svg

if you name the folder “restlesscookie” for example then you should have:

ish-plugins/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/frontend/images/icon-sets/restlesscookie/Tumblr.Svg

Once again I apologise for missing that.

Just out of interest do you think having too many .SVG files uploaded could slow the website down? Would recommend deleting any unused files?

Don’t think so. The only “slower” part might be when you open the “SVG Icon” edit window in the back-end. It needs to load them all then. But on the front-end, it loads only the one icon you have chosen. So there is no need to be worried.
