I would like to have the grid style blog posts on my front page, but instead of having the black title written below the image, I would like it to be the style of the full width recent posts with the white lettering on top of the image. How can I do this?

Also, how can I add spacing between the full width recent blog posts?

Then just remove the content from it. The recent posts shortcodes are not what you are looking for. Just go to Settings -> Reading and set the “Front page displays” to show “Your latest posts” not a static page. Then go to Theme Options -> Blog settings and choose the grid layout.

Okay so no that’s not what I mean.

I want the blog posts that say “Learning to Write” & “DOn’t be a man, be a king” to look like the blog post that says “I’m now a writer” with the white text overlay.

Help please?

I can’t seem to find the settings to remove that factory image.

the post “I’m now a writer” is generated automatically.
The post “Learning to Write” is generated by “Recent Posts” element.
If you want to add this post “Learning to Write” into automatically generated recent posts, you need to use the same category or tag as the “A Human Existence” post.
The post “I’m now a writer” also have probably the same category or tag as the “A Human Existence” post.
The same name of category or tag connecting this post together.
