Hi,

Is is possible to use the color settings meta box on the edit page for the whole background?
I would like to give each page another background color :)

Hey,

This would involve some code modifications on your side. You need to first add some classname to the body based on the setting and then add additional styles/selectors to the dynamically generated css PHP files to re-style the necessary parts.

Thanks for your quick repsonds.
Is is possible to simply aim the ishyoboy_color_settings to the ish-body class in place the tagline class? I removed the tagline in my templates so in my case the color setting meta box is useless for now.

Maybe try something like this. It should add both text and bg color classes to the element:

function my_add_color_class_to_content( $classes_array ) {

	$use_colors = ( 'true' == IshYoMetaBox::get( 'use_colors', true, get_the_ID() ) ) ? true : false;	
	if ( $use_colors ){
		$color_data = ishyoboy_get_color_data( get_the_ID() );
		$classes_array[] = $color_data['classes'];
	}
	
	return $classes_array;
}
add_filter( 'body_class', 'my_add_color_class_to_content' );

function my_add_color_class_to_content( $classes_array ) {

$use_colors = ( 'true' == IshYoMetaBox::get( 'use_colors', true, get_the_ID() ) ) ? true : false;

if ( $use_colors ){

$color_data = ishyoboy_get_color_data( get_the_ID() );

$classes_array[] = $color_data['classes'];

}

return $classes_array;

}

Hey there,

Just tested it out and the class names are indeed added to the (not ish-body) HTML element. Now it is up to you to do the styling. You need to have the colors set in the back-end of course otherwise no color class names will be added.

We tried it on a Portfolio Items, Blog Posts and Regular Pages. All works like charm.
