It would be cool to use the Dark Wood as there is only two dark section patterns. Is it done via pattern URLs or something?

You can “Inspect Element” of the dark-pattern in “Theme Options” pattern settings to find the pattern URL, copy it, and use it as “pattern_url” for the section shortcode.

E.g.:

https://www.yourserver.com/wp-content/themes/minicorp/assets/html/core/images/bg-patterns/ish-solid-wood-dark.jpg

Firefox & Chrome have this feature by default but yes, you can also use FireBug.
