Blog list bg images?

scratch the last request-didn’t realize the cover was doing it. Is there a way to have a bg image for the header portion of the blog post (where the menu goes) and then a different bg image for the main blog list page? or do they have to both be the same?

Hey,

Not sure I understand what you mean. You can set a featured image for the Blog page and tick the “Use the featured image as a background for the Taglines area.” option when you edit the page.

Of course this could also be managed vie Custom CSS either via child theme or using the Custom CSS field under Theme Options -> General Options.

Something like:

/* IMAGE FOR BLOG OVERVIEW PAGE */
body.blog .ish-part_tagline {
	background-image: url('//YOURSERVER.com/wp-uploads/2014/12/overview_bg.jpg') !important;
}

/* IMAGE FOR ALL SINGLE POSTS */
body.single-post .ish-part_tagline {
	background-image: url('//YOURSERVER.com/wp-uploads/2014/12/post_detail_bg.jpg') !important;
}

/* IMAGE FOR BLOG OVERVIEW PAGE */

body.blog .ish-part_tagline {

background-image: url('//YOURSERVER.com/wp-uploads/2014/12/overview_bg.jpg') !important;

}

/* IMAGE FOR ALL SINGLE POSTS */

body.single-post .ish-part_tagline {

background-image: url('//YOURSERVER.com/wp-uploads/2014/12/post_detail_bg.jpg') !important;

}

With the correct path to images of course ;) Please let us know if this helped you manage what you wanted to achieve.

That helps. I think what I’m wanting to do will have to be custom, so I’ll build it in the chid field.

~~Is there a lightbox option in the theme? I need to add video popups to some image element buttons, but I wasn’t sure if you had something in place for this.~~
