I was working with the Boldial theme and installed a number of JetPack widgets. Suddenly, all of the blog posts disappeared on this page:

https://bridalbeautybyamara.com/blog/

Even de-activating all of the plugins would not bring back the content – not sure exactly if that caused the problem, but prior everything was working fine.

I guess a plugin changed your blog settings. Please head to “Settings -> Reading” and set the Blog page to be the one displaying your blog posts.

If this is not the problem, please create a username with administrator rights for us and register it for hello@ishyoboy.com Also please make sure to check the checkbox to send the password automatically to us. We will then log-in and check what the problem is.

Just spent 2 hours of debugging and cannot find the real cause of the problem.
A solution would be to disable the default Visual Composer shortcodes in IshYoBoy Pagebuilder by going to “Theme Options -> Plugin Options”. This however means you can only use our shortcodes and none of the default VC ones.

For some strange reason the page loads visual composer’s isotope javascript on every single page and it conflicts with the newer version of ImagesLoaded we are using. The problem is that there is no reason for that script to be loaded.

Is this a fresh installation? Have you had Visual Composer plugin installed before? Have you did any modifications to the theme files, plugin files, WordPress files?

Yes, this is a fresh installation with no modifications to theme, plug-ins or WordPress files. I have not had the Visual Composer installed before … the only thing I did was activate a number of the Jetpack features and that seemed to cause these conflicts. Prior to me activating the Jetpack features, everything worked perfectly. I know, strange!

I see that the blog is working again, however, the VC shortcodes and Jetpack features no longer work per your explanation above …

Is it possible this is an isolated problem? Perhaps I should try re-installing the theme again on another fresh installation?

If you could try installing it again on a separate fresh installation and checking one by one which features are the ones that break the functionality we can get a step closer to finding a more permanent fix so you could use the max of both the plugins and the theme. That would be great feedback from you!

P.S. We’re also looking into it but still could not reproduce the behavior on our side :(
