I created a blog page for my site but for whatever reason it is doubling up “blog” in the url.

https://ofthesea.com/blog/blog/

Not sure how this happened or how to remedy this issue.

I would like our blog url to read https://ofthesea.com/blog/ without the added blog mention.

Seems like you have 2 Blog Pages. One is set as a parent of the other. So the url then shows:

SITE / PARENT_PAGE_SLUG / CHILD_PAGE_SLUG

So this are two different pages:

PARENT: https://ofthesea.com/blog/
CHILD: https://ofthesea.com/blog/blog/

I guess both are named “Blog”. Please check this and also go to:
“Settings -> Reading” and make sure that the page for posts is set correctly. Now it must be the child one.

Also go to “Settings -> Permalinks” and re-save the permalinks so the rewrite rules are regenerated to eliminate possible rewrite problems.

Please let us know if this was the problem and if you managed to solve it.

P.S. Nice work on the site btw! Almost didn’t recognise our theme :)
