Love the theme, using theme v1.2 and Button Link URLs can’t be changed.
It keeps saying URL: underfined or just doesn’t work after inputting a new link. It reverts back to original link.

I’ve made custom modifications to the theme/site and would lose it if I update your theme version/ assets.

Is there a way to fix this bug without updating? I really need to be able to add new links but do not want to lose my custom mods.

Unfortunately not. You need to update the Visual Composer inside the theme, but once you do, you need to make sure all shortcodes work correctly as the Visual Composer changes and what used to work with one version might not work in the next one.

If you still wish to keep the 1.2 version (what we strongly recommend not to do as security fixes were applied in the meantime) you may try to manually see what code exactly is carried out when selecting a link and then compare your current version with the latest one and see how the code have changed and manually change it.

To avoid such situations always use child themes to collect all your modifications and never update the files directly in the parent theme.
