I have 3 categories right now, and each category has approx 30-40 images, yet I can not get any of them to display. I performed the demo data import yet my theme seems to be missing much of the demo data relate to the portfolios.I followed the documentation as I understood it, and also read the previous topic on this problem to no avail. any help is appreciated.

1. Have you imported the demo data with “IshYoBoy Leepho Assets” plugin activated as suggested in the documentation and the one-click import tab? If not, all portfolio data might not have been imported.

2. The portfolio is originally meant for “Projects” and so each photo is handled as a separate project with some description and maybe a story about the shot.

You should create a separate “Portfolio Item” for every photo, set the featured image to be the photo itself and create the content of the detail page. Make sure to set the category of the item to be one of the 3 categories you have.

Once done use the Portfolio page element on any page to display either all items or items from one category only.

So it sounds like there is no way to do a large album of photos, such as a wedding may have, correct? I did use the one click, import, but as stated, the porfolio items did not import. I could probably figure it out otherwise, however, I may have broken something when I attempted to import a second time and now may have to reload the entire site. Now when I attempt to edit any element, I get a perpetual loading screeen.

You can have one “Portfolio Item” called let’s say “Lovely Wedding Photos” and in its detail you could have a slideshow or pictures of all wedding photos. E.g.:

Young Guy


or

Old Camera

To manage this you need to create the Portfolio Gallery for this single Item in the right column above the featured image metabox. Then you can use the “Portfolio Gallery” content element to display it anywhere in the content of this single Item.
