I have a problem. The Category Filters are not working in the portafolio. I have selected all the capabilites possible and made various adjustments. Here are two links where you can see the adjustments and the results:

The settings in the Theme Options are for pages which do not physically exist. They are mainly “category”, “tag”, “archive” and so on.

The portfolio within any page is controlled via the settings of the page element. please try to remove the portfolio element from the content and a dd a brand new one. I guess this will solve the problem.

If you enter a category in the settings of the portfolio element, it will only show items from this category and thus the filter will show only the categories which are nested inside the mentioned one – meaning in the category settings the parent of the categories needs to be set as the one which you set.

So if you have

– Main Category 1
— Main Sub 1
— Main Sub 2
— Main Sub 3
– Main Category 2
– Main Category 3

If you do leave the “category” field empty in the portfolio settings it will show categories “Main Category 1”, “Main Category 2” and “Main Category 3”.

If you set the category field to “Main Category 1” then the filter will show “Main Sub 1”, “Main Sub 2”, “Main Sub 3”.

If you set the category field to “Main Category 2” then the filter will not be shown as there are no child categories.
