I’ve of course checked the option to authorize comments on the CPT.

Have you duplicated the single-post.php file to single-{YOUR_CPT_SLUG}.php or single.php in your child theme? If not, then index.php file is used instead and there are no comments shown in it.

I’ve duplicated to single-post.php file and it seems to be working now.

I prefer to rename it for single.php only so it will be used for all kind of single post type.

Hopefully it solved my issue.
