I tried testing if I could receive an email from a customer
using the (Contact form) on my website but it didn’t work, unfortunately.
I followed the steps of setting it up, but still no luck.

Usually mail sending does not work on localhost just to be sure you are not testing it locally.

Some hosting providers forbid using the native PHP “mail” functionality which is the default option for Contact Form 7. In such cases you might need to use a plugin to send the mails using SMTP.
