Can you give me a hint on where / how I can change the print CSS. We tried doing it by inserting custom CSS into the theme ooptions and a few other things, but to no avail.

Hope you can help us out on this.

The theme has no styling for print by default. We recommend having a look at some of the print plugins and also checking this section:
