I have selected the option “If checked, custom taglines will be used instead of the page headline.” in the custom taglines tap. How can I do that? thanks!

this option “If checked, custom taglines will be used instead of the page headline.” You can use it if you want to replace the default title with your custom title and subtitle.

When you want to display your custom (content) tagline, you have to remove ( leave empty ) inputs “Main Tagline” and “Sub Tagline.”
In this case default tagline is invisible and only your content with your custom tagline will be visible.

I think this is happenning now in the new update.

yes, that is right.
If you need to remove this white bar, you can do it via custom CSS.
Don’t hesitate to use “Inspect element” of browser to find right selector.
