When I upload the provided xmil data I have a shorter version.
Is it possible to provide the full XML file?

PS: I dont care about the images.

Another issue is that I dont want to heve the post-format icon of each post with the title –ie. image, quote,video,etc

Sorry, but I cannot figure out, how can I have two or three extra blog pages with different layout (ie. different pages for different categories but not all with the same layout). I see that I can use the wll organised RECENT BLOG POSTS but concerning the layout?

This is achieved using a child theme. Then a separate template is set for an empty page with the correct URL and the blog settings are overridden in it. Feel free to update the PHP templates to your needs. Here they are:

Boldial Blog Templates

Add them in the root of your child theme and then edit the page and from the right column choose the right template.
