Demo import error – Missing Layer & revolution sliders, demo images, blog/notes posts, products and widgets

Hi,

We’ve successfully installed the theme and demo content, but can’t seem to get the slider functioning. The error message reads: “Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias classis-clider not found.” We have looked through the documentation and in the revslider example zips and can not find this slider or any reference to it.

We also cannot locate: “[LayerSliderWP] Slider not found”

Are any of the sliders seen in the demo supposed to be included?

Hi again,

We found a post here that resolves the first slider issue we mentioned. Still trying to figure out the layerslider, and, having looked further at various pages, why there seem to be so many images missing. It seems like the demo import was incomplete. For instance, check the freelance page.

If we send you an Admin login from the WP Dash will you be so kind as to take a look?

Sorry to keep adding to this thread, but we aren’t getting any response from you yet, and we have looked over all documentation and support threads for answers. Found a couple and fixed those, but here’s the current serious issues:

Demo content (or portions thereof) found to be missing on the following pages so far:

• Home Freelance
• Notes
• Shop

In addition, none of the sidebars or footer widgets were there like the demo after import.

Hi there,

First of all welcome to the the forum and mainly to the Multicorp family ;) Sorry for the longer response time but we’re usually out of office during weekends and reply during the regular working days.

The Demo Sliders were just simple image rotations this is why we did not include them into the demo data.

1. Multicorp Revolution Demo Slider

3. Images
Regarding the images it indeed seems they were not downloaded during the demo import. You can either download them manually from our server and upload them to the media library and then use them in the row settings as Background image or just use Different images you would like to use if the ones on our demo are not the ones
you want.

4. Blog/Notes Section
It seems like the demo import was incomplete. Therefore go trough all “manual import” steps except importing demo XML to set everything correctly.

To show all posts on the “Notes” page you need to set this page as page for posts (step 6 from documentation). Navigate to “Settings -> Reading” and under “Front page displays” set “A static page”. As “Front page” set “Home”. As “Posts page” set “Blog”.

5. Shop
Please try unzipping this file and import the XML via “Tools -> Import -> WordPress”. You could also create new products via WooCommerce as you will not be selling the ones from the demo.

6. Sidebar Widgets

Footer widgets missing – manually import widgets from demo data

Sorry for all the troubles but it seems the import process has failed on a certain place.

The solutions you provided worked fabulously. The lone exception is the Home Freelance page (or any page that uses that format). We sent a PM about this, and will address any new topics in a new thread.

Right on… we grabbed those images and uploaded them ourselves. But, can you just add the additional images? We’re not yet 100% confident about changing what you’ve done. Thx
