Extra taps on mobile iOS menu items

Hello – when I view the template on my iPhone, I tap the hamburger menu, there are extra taps that make the menu items underline rather than function. The first tap creates an underline, then I have to tap again to go to the page.
To reproduce the problem on mobile:
1) Tap the menu
2) Tap .Portfolio, the underline appears but no dropdown
3) Tap .Portfolio, the dropdown appears
4) Tap logo design, it just shows the underline
5) now you can tap logo design again and the page finally opens.

This entire thing should be 3 taps but it is 5.

Daaaamn!

That was a nice one I gotta say :) We had to create a workaround as this is the default iOS functionality in this case.

Glad to help- please tell me the exact files I need to replace because I have made some changes and I need to compare the files so I know what I changed.

Hi movingpixels,

Here is the list of files you should replace to fix your problem:

src/js/main.js
src/scss/_colors.scss
src/scss/_layout.scss

src/js/main.js

src/scss/_colors.scss

src/scss/_layout.scss

And also this file for fixing one bug with “lightgallery”:
gulpfile.js

But these are source files and you need to recompile your dist folder from source files.

If are you using only files from dist folder you should use some tool ( for example git ) for comparing all changes inside files of dist folder.

I followed these instructions when I bought the template, then updated and “saved as”:

To use the template just use the files available in the Template/dist/ folder. They are final and ready to be used on your web server.

I didn’t use the advanced instructions. Can I just replace the main.js?

Hey,

The best way would be to put your “dist” folder contents into a git to be 100% sure you will not loose your changes. Then copy all files from us and the git will automatically detect the changed files.

If you want to do it manually these files (or whole folder if no exact file specified) need to be replaced:

- style.css
- vendor.css
- plugins/plugins.js
- plugins/lightgallery/
- js/main.js

- style.css

- vendor.css

- plugins/plugins.js

- plugins/lightgallery/

- js/main.js

If you have done changes to any of the files, make sure to back them up before replacing the mentioned files and reproduce them again afterwards.

Thank you, this worked but if you scroll to the bottom of a page, your “back to top” arrow/ button is still requiring that extra tap.

Hello,
I just replaced the 4 files in the dist folder and the back to top button is still requiring an extra tap for the underline. The extra tap in the menu is working as before. Are you sure these are the correct files? moving-pixels.com/dist

The “style.css” file on your server does not seem to have been updated. It misses the latest changes.
