I cannot leave the website like that, so am going to put back my backup, but I am writing here for you to know that there is a problem with your update.

Also after an update, my child-theme.css got erase and I had to do it again.

So I am thinking I will not be able to do your updates anymore!

Please update the Theme as well. You need to update both the Theme and the Assets Plugin as always. They work hand in hand.

If you are unable to get to administration, just delete the plugin via FTP.
You should always first update the theme and only then the plugin.

1. The theme is updated to the latest version
2. The assets plugin is updated to the latest version
3. All cahces are refreshed
4. Visual Composer is not activated as a separate plugin.

If all these are met, then all will be working perfectly.

This is strange. The latest version for NO8 is v1.6. Seems like you have renamed the theme folder so it does not for newest version anymore. Please download the theme again from ThemeForest and ensure the following:

1. The theme is updated to the latest version
2. The assets plugin is updated to the latest version

If all these are met, then all will be working perfectly.

child theme is only extension of main theme, this shouldn’t cause that problem.
