Please edit the blog page, and under Tagline Settings make sure to tick the box to use the Featured image inside the taglines area.

That only puts it in the tagline area. Not in the blog page under the post titles of each post.

you can set post format for each your post.
You’ll find a “Post Format” module in the right-hand column of your post editor.

If you need add featured images into blog overview page, just set this format to “Image”.
Image format will automatically add featured image into blog overview page under the post title.
