I’m using INverto theme and I’m facing following issue:

When I try to change Font under Appearance>ThemeOptions>FontOptions whatever I change, nothing is applied on production although I was told “Options updated”. I have noticed that wp-content\uploads\inverto_css\main-options.css has not been changed. In local enviornment everything works as expected, but on the hosting server I have the problem.

Have you ever have that kind of problem and what should I do.

During troubleshooting we granted 0777 permisions (full control) to appach user on inverto_css folder on hosting server. Didn’t help.

Please, let me fix this.
Jovan

Could you please try to delete this folder completely and then go to ThemeOptions and re-save all settings. Did it help?

Maybe the folder was created under different user on your localhost and uploading if via FTP made your live server’s PHP user unable to edit it.. Although 777 should work.

Cheers

This seems partly ok, but WordPress shall also be able to access the whole wp-content folder so you can install and update “plugins”, “themes”, etc.. which are inside this folder. You should be able to easily update all plugins from the WordPress Admin area without having to use FTP instead although this is also an option.

The theme modifies only the contents in “uploads” folder where it saves the CSS files. In case it is not able to write to this folder it outputs the CSS dynamically into each HTML page, but this only slows down the whole web.

You might also consider switching to a hosting provider which has special WordPress hosting tweaks and you will never have to care about such things and the experience will be smooth and seamless.

Please let us know how you have proceeded with the folder.

Cheers

This is very strange.. Why isn’t WordPress able to create the files?! Isn’t this something you could sort out with your hosting provider? You could create the “main-options.css” file manually, but then you would loose the possibility to change the theme options from the back-end.

Cheers
