Hi IshYoBoy,

I’d like to insert a google Adsense before the first H3 tag like this on my blog post.

I added the code like below into Boldial Child’s [functions.php] and edited my widgets, but It doesn’t work.
Would you mind to teach me?

Hey,

Really nice code pal! I really like the idea. The code seems fine.

Maybe try to apply it on the “ish_the_content” filter, not on the “the_content”.

Another thing that comes to my mind could be the priority of the filter. Try to run your code as “last” filter (the standard priority is 10) to make sure all shortcodes have been transformed into HTML. E.g.:

add_filter('the_content','add_widget_before_1st_h3', 50);

If still not working as expected. try debugging and “var_dumping” variables on the go to see what “$the_content” is and what your search returns.

I changed “the_content” into “ish_the_content” and Google Adsense was displayed!!

Hi hitechjazz,

this issue is caused by class “ish-grid3” in your widget element.
You need to remove this class or set css for this element e.g.:

float: none;

}

I’d like to have a portfolio page on my blog.
I make a portfolio page and added “the Recent Blog Post Elements” on this portfolio page.

Google Adsense is in article.
I hope no google adsense on the portfolio page, hope only the blog page.

Is this code a cause?

Hi hitechjazz,

content for element “Recent Blog Posts” is generated from post content, in case you didn’t use excerpt field (default WordPress functionality).

The best solution in this case is using “Excerpt” for each post which contain Google Adsense.

Thank you so much!
But I’m sorry, I couldn’t understand your advice.

So I decided not to use element “Recent Blog Posts” and use element “Post Masonry Grid” on my portfolio page.

As there is no “H3 tag” in my portfolio page, Now Google adsense doesn’t display on my portfolio page.
