I followed another support topic to remove the header area for a page but it has left a blank white space at the top of the page. I would like for my content to sit right up the top under the menu.

Will your homepage be showing your latest posts or will it be a regular page? If a regular page then go to “Settings -> Reading” and set which Page will be Homepage and which one will be the Blog page.

On regular pages it should work just fine.

You may try to go to “Theme Options -> Color Options” and set the color of the header or also adjust the “Header Background opacity”,

Maybe change the background of the row where the Revolution slider is located, set it as section and give it a background image.
