Hide the header Tagline but keep it in WordPress

How can I add a website tagline without it appearing on the header of the theme? Please see screenshot below

Hey,

Unfortunately this is how WordPress handles the tagline. You could howerver edit header.php file and delete the following code:

$blog_tagline = get_bloginfo('description');

if ('' != $blog_tagline) {
    ?><span class="ish-ph-wp_tagline"><span><?php echo $blog_tagline; ?></span></span><?php
}
?>

$blog_tagline = get_bloginfo('description');

if ('' != $blog_tagline) {

?><span class="ish-ph-wp_tagline"><span> echo $blog_tagline; ?></span></span>

}

We however suggest using a child theme to override the header.php file instead of editing it directly in the parent theme as you will lose your changes in the next theme update. Even easier solution would be to hide it using custom css:

.ish-ph-wp_tagline { display: none !important; }
