ok, I have to check it. But the meta description should be normally available in template´s source text, doesn´t? Why should I use an extra plugin to rank on Google? I am sceptical about this approach.

Regards.

The meta descriptions are not “static”. Therefore you need to have a field where you could edit them. By default WordPress does not have it. It cannot be inside the template as the same template is used for all pages therefore all would have the same meta. That plugin is exactly for that. It adds a general description plus allows you to edit it on every page so it is perfect for your SEO.

So why re-invent the wheel inside a theme when there is much much better free tool for you?

Cheers
