First of all, great theme! Love working with it and its one of my favourite themes.

I am creating a website for a carpenter. He does various furniture for outdoors, indoors and special interior designs. I thought I would use the Multicorp portfolio function as a display of his different projects.

Here is my problem. I want to create three different portfolios: Indoors, Outdoors and Interior Design. I want these placed in the main menu so that the website is mainly portfolios rather than WP-pages. Each portfolio has its own sub-categories with their own detail pages. I have managed to get all of the above to work.

My issue is that in theme options, I have to use a portfolio slug which messes up my URL:s. I don’t want a slug at all. I want my portfolio URL:s to look like this:

http://www.websitename.com/indoors/table
http://www.websitename.com/outdoors/table
http://www.websitename.com/interior-design/table

Right now the URL:s look like this:

http://www.websitename.com/portfolio/indoors/table
http://www.websitename.com/portfolio/outdoors/table
http://www.websitename.com/portfolio/interior-designs/table

Can I remove the portfolio-slug somehow to make the URL:s cleaner? And if I can’t, can I instead create different portfolio slugs?

Regarding the portfolio, unfortunately you cannot remove the slug :( It is a custom CPT and WordPress needs this word to know what to display.

What you could do is change the slug from portfolio to “tables” or “design” or “showcase”…

This might help:

But unfortunately on all pages the slug will be the same :(

A workaround would be to create 3 pages which would display the three different portfolio categories.

Haha, bummer! I’ll have a chat with the client and see if he has a specific word he would like to use. Design is a really good suggestion so I’ll run it by him. I’m sure we can figure something out. And if not I’ll try the page suggestion.
