How do I remove the comment button and like button next to THE READ MORE button after the blog intro paragraph?

Hey there,

it’s pretty simple, please paste this whort snippet into “Theme Options -> General Options -> Custom CSS”:

.ish-blog-post-links .ish-sc_button[href$="#comments"],
.ish-blog-post-links .ish-likes {
	display: none !important;
}

.ish-blog-post-links .ish-sc_button[href$="#comments"],

.ish-blog-post-links .ish-likes {

display: none !important;

}

It will do the trick ;)

That worked, thank you :) Is there any way to remove both of those counters from the top of a post’s page too? See here for example – next to the title (https://www.iwusga.com/elections/open-rep-positions-2013-2014/)

Hey,

This change can be done via child theme only. Please use the starter one we have provided along with the theme. Make sure it is uploaded into WordPress and activated.

You need to redefine the function that displays the mentioned details. It is called “ishyoboy_get_post_details” and can be found in the following file (around line 365):

wp-content\themes\boldial\assets\functions\theme-plugin-functions.php

You can copy its body.

Now open the file “functions.php” and paste the code in its bottom:

As you can see we have already commented out the code which displays the likes and comments counts. So when you now upload your changes of the child theme to the server you are done.

Hi,

Wondering if there is a way to hide all comments on the static post for the homepage?

When you continue to scroll down to the bottom, I want to disable the comments from showing up so I can have featured blog posts instead.

Also, separate topic, but wondering if I can change the margins of the main body post? I don’t like how the texts start from the far right and end at the far left. Is there a way to add padding?

Maybe check these topics:

Disable all comments from all pages (attachment pages)

Home page, comments off

Regarding the margins, sure. Just use the “Custom CSS” box under “Theme Options -> General Options” and add the CSS code you need to add the tweak you mentioned.
