I’m trying to achieve something but can’t find how so I’m wondering it’s possible with that theme.

The point is to build a homepage which is the main blog page and has a video background on header (instead the featured post) + all the posts below but I’m finding those difficulties:

. The page has always the tagline on top unless it’s the homepage.
. If I set that page as homepage and create the header with visual composer then I’m not able to add the posts below
. Obviously I can’t set up this page as home + post page

Is there any way to achieve that? I would really appreciate if you can help on that, thanks a lot!

My Best!
Ivan

You are right. This is how WordPress works. You can choose a physically exiting page to display the posts but it cannot be set as Homepage. Alternatively, you can choose a non-existing dynamic page to display all post and be the main homepage, but there is no place to edit its content.

What you can do here is edit the “home.php” template file which renders bot this scenarios and manually “hard code” the video row into the content and comment out the code which displays Taglines and breadcrumbs.

A little smarter way would be to load the content from a “specific page” so you could edit it whenever needed and display nothing if the page does not exist or if its content is empty.

Cheers
