Latest version of Visual Composer not able to edit pages.

Hi
when building websites we often use themes that have visual composer ..

lately we needed to update VC because it got a new version and the templates didnt have it.

so i decided to buy a VC licence to be able to update the VC instantly on our pages.
matter i have now is – in boldial, I don’t see a possibility of editing posts or pages one with VC.

my suspect is VC – there is no place i could enter any API data and stuff.

how can i get my page editable again ?

Hey,

Do you use the latest version of boldial and the IshYoBoy Boldial Assets Plugin? Using the latest versions is mandatory for the theme to cooperate correctly with visual composer.

P.S.: We highly recommend using the built-in version of Visual Composer as it will always work 100% with the theme and you do not have to worry about updating the stand-alone plugin. Whenever you update the theme you will always get the latest compatible version.

Hi,

I have the plugin’s latest versions and the theme author’s license tab for Visual Composer; however, the plugin auto-update for the Visual Composer is disabled. To solve the problem, my proposal is to deactivate and delete the theme version of the plugin and then install the standalone purchased version. Could you please confirm whether the proposal allows editing the page? If the solution helps, could you please provide instructions how to process it correctly without any data lost?

Hi there,

If you install the Visual Composer as a stand-alone plugin it has bigger priority over the “integrated one” therefore all should work without a problem.

The only problem is that our plugin “IshYoBoy Boldial Assets” adds new shortcodes to the set of elements Visual Composer comes with. IF the VC is auto updated those shortcodes which are used to assemble all pages might not work correctly. But we’re totally fine if you decide to have it like that.

So once you install and activate your copy of VC, what is exactly the problem? You are not able to edit any page’s content? The Visual Composer button does not show up?

Could you please create an admin account for us to log in and have a look to better understand your problem? You can share it here in a private reply so only we can see it.

Please also provide a link to the exact page where the problem occurs and explain it more in detail if necessary.

We see no reason why the auto-update shall be disabled when using stand-alone plugin.
