I have the problem that my site does not load correctly on the ipad (2). It gives me the error message: Content not loaded correctly. And then it retries and retries until it finally gives up and the whole screen just shows an error message- “repeated loading problems with site”. Can you help me with that issue? It seems, I am not the only one, other ipad users said the same about my page: http://www.halfpipe007.de

We just tested it both on iPad 2 and iPad Retina and could not reproduce the mentioned messages.

Are you still facing the problem?

If Yes, could you please switch your theme to the default WordPress one (Twenty fifteen) and try loading the page from an iPad. Do the problems still occur?

If Yes, then the problem is not the theme, but some server/hosting setting. In this case you should try contacting your hosting provider or web admin.

If No, then please re-activate the theme and try to load other empty pages, etc.. to try to narrow when the problem occurs? Is it on the homepage only or on all pages. etc..

Thanks for the quick reply! To be more exact- the error message is: “A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded”- which occurs repeatedly- sometimes the homepage loads on the first attempt, then the error message occurs on a the blogpost that I just want to open. To reproduce the error I would suggest to reload the homepage after a first successful attempt.
I did try the 20/15 theme and I did NOT have a loading problem with the site then.
Also, I did the update on the theme last night and now it sometimes takes a very very long time to load.
Here is a fun fact though that I just discovered: the homepage loads just fine in vertical mode…(!)
I hope I could give you some more insights on a potential troubleshooting.

Maybe there are too many posts with images on the page. Currently one page load is 11.6 MB which is quite a lot. Try reducing the number of displayed posts and see if the problem persists.
