Logo position on smartphone

The logo on a website I’m working on is fine on all screen sizes but it’s centered on smartphones in portrait format – see https://www.livingmybucketlist.co.uk/ – it doesn’t matter now small I make the logo, it stays in the center, can you see any way of moving it to the left? The theme is Boldial.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey,

You can use a CSS media query to control this behavior:

@media all and ( max-width: 480px ) {
	.ish-ph-main_nav, .ish-ph-logo {
		margin: 0;
	}
}

@media all and ( max-width: 480px ) {

.ish-ph-main_nav, .ish-ph-logo {

margin: 0;

}

Just add it to you child theme’s css or use the “Custom CSS” field in ThemeOptions.

it’s really strange because we’ve tried it on our Boldial installation and it works without problems.

Could you please create an account for us on your WordPress installation and send to us private message with login / pass? We will have a look at it and investigate what could be wrong.

Hey,

the problem were incorrect CSS Styles in the “Custom CSS” field.

.single-post .ish-blog-post-details (
	display: none !important;
)

.single-post .ish-blog-post-details (

display: none !important;

)

Regular brackets “()” are incorrect and you should use curly instead “{}”

.single-post .ish-blog-post-details {
	display: none !important;
}

.single-post .ish-blog-post-details {

display: none !important;

}

Then we added this code:

@media all and ( max-width: 480px ) {
	.ish-ph-logo {
		float: left;
		margin: 0;
	}

	.ish-ph-main_nav {
		float: right;
		margin: 0;
	}
}

@media all and ( max-width: 480px ) {

.ish-ph-logo {

float: left;

margin: 0;

}

.ish-ph-main_nav {

float: right;

margin: 0;

}

and now it works.

Sorry, there’s still a postioning problem, the nav/search buttons are below the header and covering part of a heading in the content in smartphone portrait format (screenshot at https://www.livingmybucketlist.co.uk/Screenshot_2014-07-31-16-09-57.png).

I’ve been trying to move it up so it’s under the Home link, where it is on all the larger screen sizes, without success.

The user that I set up for you is still there if you need it.

Hey,

Please check again the code in our last reply (it is not the same as in the first one). We have set it yesterday in your server’s “Theme Options” but now when we checked there is a different one.
