How do I get my site to look exactly like the demo? I read to activate the child template and update the boldial plugin but I can’t find either one. I manually installed the template via ftp.

Very new to WordPress.. usually work with Joomla.. trying it out for the first time because of your awesome template.

welcome to our small family, we’re happy to have you onboard.

We’ve checked you page and it should be ok now. The problem was that there was everything imported properly but there were all the pages (home, portfolio, shortcodes, …) in the trash. SO with each new import it wasn’t imported because the trash have to be empty.

We just deleted all the default content, widgets, menus, categories, tags and emptied trashes. After this we use one-click import and everything works perfect.

I must be missing something.. what is the one click import? I tried the “import demo content” but that didn’t work for me. Maybe I did it the wrong order. I made a mistake on the directory path when i installed the original WP so I have to start over so if you could clarify the process for me that would be great. I did read the instructions.. there must be something Im not getting.

The one click demo import is exactly the functionality that imports all the pages, posts and menus. It sets the homepage and Blog page, imports all widgets etc.. So it basically does some of the manual steps automatically. It must be done only once on a fresh WordPress installation. With every next attempt it will duplicate the content.

It’s hard to say what could have gone wrong but once we tried it in your server, it worked perfectly. So if you follow each step from the “First Steps” section of the documentation, you should get to the result as it is right now.
