Make portfolio images not clickable

I am very happy with the theme so far. One question, is there a way to edit the portfolio so that the images are not clickable? I am displaying the portfolio on my homepage and I would love to have people to be able to hover the mouse on the images and see the current effect but I do not want them to be clickable. Any way to do it?

Hi KWD,

process to disable click on portfolio is following:

1. please add shortcode “Raw JS” right before your portfolio shortcode

2. paste following code into “Raw JS” shortcode:

<script type='text/javascript'>

jQuery(document).ready(function() {
	// Remove url
	jQuery('.ish-sc_portfolio a').attr('href', '');

	// Unclick
	jQuery('.ish-sc_portfolio a').click(function() {
		return false;
	});
});

</script>

3. Enjoy it :)

That’s all what is needed to do to prevent clicking.

Thanks it did the trick, the only problem is that it still shows the “little hand” icon that is displayed when hovering on an icon. In this way it looks like the images are supposed to be clickable but something is not working. Sorry for bothering but it’s possible to have this functionality without the little hand so that people do not think that there is an error?

Just change the old code to this new one:

	pItem.attr('href', '').css({'cursor': 'default'});
	
	// Unclick
	pItem.click(function() {

Hey,

Unfortunately there is no such option to choose the exact portfolio items by id. You could however create a new category and add them all into it. Then choose to display items from this category only. Hope this works for you.

Hi,
Thanks for this topic ; unfortunately I don’t understand what you suggest to do when you say “1. please add shortcode “Raw JS” right before your portfolio shortcode”.
What portfolio shortcode? Where do I find “Raw JS”?
I’m sorry I’m a total newbe at this :)

Hi again, just found the solution to my problem: I added a Javascript (JS ?) item to my page builder just before my portfolio item. Thanks for your great theme :)
