Hmm not sure what the result should be but if you are trying to manage something like this:

Home Revolution Slider

Then just add a new row on the top, set it as Section, make sure to choose Full-width with no padding and then add the revolution slider element inside it.

If you are unable to make it please provide URL of a page where we can see it in action to suggest what might be causing a problem.
