The first one I did consisted of horizontal rectangle images so one image shows at a time and the slider advances to the next slide. That’s fine.

Note: My portfolio pages have a right sidebar (not sure if that’s a problem).

The next Portfolio Gallery I created utilizes vertical shaped images which I loaded into the the gallery for the portfolio post. I assumed they would line up next to each other horizontally if I used the thumbnail_size=”theme-half” which should allow enough room to fit. Unfortunately, they just stacked on top of each other. Then I tried “theme-third” and “theme-fourth”… and they still just stacked on top of each other. Is there something I am missing?

I have look at the demo to try to find examples of the Portfolio Gallery and it’s not apparent. Appreciate some guidance with this…

Thanks,

Jeff

So to sum up this is what we understood:
In a Portfolio Detail (single) Page you are trying to display the gallery of images attached to that portfolio post. You are using the [portfolio_gallery] shortcode. Could you please copy the whole shortcode with its attributes and maybe provide a link where we can see it?

Basically the “thumbnail_size” attribute tells the gallery what size the images should be loaded but you need to make sure they are used inside a column of the appropriate width. E.g.:

thumbnail_size=”theme-half” should be used inside a [one_half][/one_half] column. As this is a detail page the [portfolio_gallery] was meant to show big images and not a “grid-like” view.

We would still ask you if you could provide a link to the page where we can see the problem. But I have a feeling you are trying to make something which was not originally planned for this shortcode.

Cheers

Designed primarily for one image at a time and not a carousel… which is what I thought it would do but that’s fine, I worked with it and it works fine.

BTW, is there a carousel display of any kind that would work on the homepage?

Otherwise, thanks… nice job on the theme.

You can use the [slidable] shortcode to make any content element slide. You can put literally anything in a [slidable]:

Slider & Slidable

The [portfolio] shortcode is designed to display only one image at a time. The [potfolio_gallery] on the detail pages can display either all the images separately:

Men’s health

Or as a carousel:

Responsive Web Design

Thanks for the compliment and we hope you’ll be able to create a killer website with the current set of shortcodes which we tried to make as wide and as customizable as possible.

Cheers
