No name/e-mail required in comments

Hello,

I’m not sure if this is due to the theme or not, but I wanted to ask to make sure (Let me already say that I’m sorry if this has nothing to do with the theme)

I want to make it optional for viewers of my blog to leave their name and e-mail address (preferably, also not show a web page input box at all) in the comments. I’ve unchecked the option “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail” in the Discussion section, but there is still an asterisk behind the name and e-mail input field. Is this something that is hard coded in your theme?

Hello,

Thank you for the code. However, I have no idea where or how I can change my comments.php (and I can’t really find any good tutorials online, most say there should be an Editor under the Appearance menu, which I don’t see), so I was wondering when you think the new update will be made available?
(will it also have an option where you can say that you do not want a URL box in the comments?)

Hi,

Could you please create an “Administrator” account for us. Use the hello@ishyoboy.com email address and tick the box to automatically send the password upon user creation. We can then log-in and replace the file.

Hey,

unfortunately we cannot access the admin area. When we try to access it it redirects us to 127.0.0.1 which an address available only on your computer.

I guess you will have to do it manually. Navigate to:
wp-content/themes/multicorp/comments.php

And edit the file as mentioned above.

Ah, yes, a security measure from a plugin, I’ve changed the URL of my login page, I forgot, I’m sorry. I’ve deactivated this feature, and now the usual login URL is available again. Would you please try again?

Hey,

We made a change to the file in your “multicorp” theme folder and also copied it to the child-theme folder and removed the URL field from there.

Download the child-theme to have it backed-up just in case.
