Pagination not working in news archive

Hi,

I have fully completed my website and its running fine.

Recently, We have created a news section where it displays all the posts. By default the post limit is set to 10, so its displaying 10 posts. But when i go to second page by clicking the pagination, it shows 404 page.?

It works fine on another custom posts.. but not working on news archive section. Could you please help on this?

Sorry for the extremely long turnaround time during the past holidays period. We’re now back ;) We hope you had a wonderful time and managed to leave the virtual reality world and spend valuable time with your family, friends and pets.

Now back to the pagination problem.

1. Have you tried re-saving the permalinks under “Settings -> Permalinks”? This usually solves such problems.
2. Is the problem still present?
3. Have you managed to solve it? If, yes could you please share what the problem was and how you managed to solve it?
4. Please provide the URL of the page where the news are listed so we could test it.
5. How have you created the News CPT? Has it been registered with “has_archive” parameter set to true?

Hi,

I am using News-manager plugin to manage my news section.. But when it comes to pagination, it gives 404 error on page2.

If i export the same news posts to normal wordpress posts, the pagination works well.. unable to figure it out whats causing the issue.

If i have 10 posts in news-manager section and 15 posts in wordpress posts section, the pagination works and it takes to wordpress posts when i am seeing news url.

Here is the URL: https://www.continentalhospitals.com/news/

I have created archive-news.php to change the header title and add footer.

Can you please help on this. orelse i need to look another way to display them. Such as https://www.continentalhospitals.com/news-2

Try opening the “functions.php” file and remove or comment out this code:

Also want to ask you that by commenting out that part, will there be any other glitches??

I see that you are running a query for woo-commerce in that code. But on my site i am not using Woo-commerce. so i guess that doesn’t effect anything.

Hey,

We have tested it on all post types and saw no error. This was in place for some extreme combinations in combination with woocommerce, so you should face no error. In any case you will see it right away when testing your page.
