is it possible that from the portfolio individual page, when u go press to go back to the previous page from the black bar, (highlighted with a white border on image attached)

instead of going into the category page, which would not be formatted to your liking, you go back to the actual page you came you clicked the link from?

yes it would be possible but it would require code changes. There is a list of things what needs to be done to change it:

1. Before any code changes please activate Boldial child theme to make sure you will not lose any future updates

2. Breadcrumbs are generated in the file “assets/functions/layout” in the function “ishyoboy_show_breadcrumbs” and “ishyoboy_get_breadcrumbs”.

3. For getting info about where the user came from you can use PHP variable “$_SERVER[‘HTTP_REFERER’]”.

This is description what needs to be done to change default breadcrumbs behaviour. If you would like us to make these changes please write us an email and we could do it for you without problems. However customizations such as this one are not part of free support and they are charged by our flat rate.
