Problems in sorting Media library and Enhanced media library plugin

Hello!
I must say your theme is great but I’ve found two problems when I’m working with the media library (I found it was problem with the theme because I deactivated it and everything worked fine). The first problem is that I cannot order the media library by file. Clicking on “file” nothing happens and files continue ordered the newest, the first.
The second problem is that I’m using Enhanced media library plugin in order to make categories for my files. When I’m in list view, in the top of the page there is an option to filter by category, but it doesn’t work and it always show 0 result.
Do you know what can be affecting?

What I didn’t tell you is that I had to use the same theme twice for the same client in another sub-website that I created for them. If you finally solve it, could you tell me the steps how you solve it?

Hi,

First of all sorry for the late reply. We had some urgent out of office activities.

Well, we’ve just tested the mentioned plugin with our theme and all seemed to work without a problem right after installing the plugin. Even the default sorting by file name works.

The problem might be coming from the fact that WordPress is in a different language or form some of the active plugins. Can you test it on a fresh install as all works fine when we tested it?

It’s strange. I asked the plugin author (Enhanced media library) about it, if he can solve it or may have any idea. By the way, I could finally change the order of the media library alphabetically deactivating the plugin Post Types Order. I don’t know how it could be affecting but I was not using it, so I’ll keep it deactivated. I hope finally can solve the problem with Enhanced media library and filtering in list view

Aaaah, true!

The Post Types Order has messed up things many times. It is programmed really weirdly. We stopped using it a while ago. It must be amending the main query an does something really wrong. So now that you say, I am really sure this was the problem.

Finally, the plugin author discovered that the problem comes only when you activate the option to have a custom 404 error page. If this is disabled the filtering of Enhanced media library works. As I need this custom 404 error page, I did another option that the plugin author gave me: comenting line 1782 in functions.php. With this, the filtering works and I don’t lose my 404 page.
