Remove Tagline on blog overview set as homepage

I’m creating a blog, so my WP is set up to display my recent posts as index and I want to remove the Tagline just as I would remove it from a single page, because it’s causing my blog to display it’s own name twice.

Can you help me on that?!

Hi Ivmaster,

thank you for choosing our Boldial theme. We hope you will be satisfied with it.

To remove the Tagline from blog overview page when is set as homepage requires small code change. But don’t worry we are here to help you. Please follow the process:

1. If you don’t use it already please install and activate our Boldial child theme, which is included in the downloaded package.

2. Please copy file “home.php” from main Boldial theme root folder into Boldial child theme root folder.

3. Open file “home.php” in text / code editor.

4. from line nr. 12 until 18 you should see something like this:

if ( 'page' == get_option('show_on_front') ){
	ishyoboy_get_part_tagline( $page->ID );
}
else{
	$lead = '<h1>' . get_bloginfo('name') . '</h1>';
	ishyoboy_custom_part_tagline( $lead );
}

if ( 'page' == get_option('show_on_front') ){

ishyoboy_get_part_tagline( $page->ID );

}

else{

$lead = '

' . get_bloginfo('name') . '

ishyoboy_custom_part_tagline( $lead );

}

5. Please comment this whole part of code so it will looks like this:

/*if ( 'page' == get_option('show_on_front') ){
	ishyoboy_get_part_tagline( $page->ID );
}
else{
	$lead = '<h1>' . get_bloginfo('name') . '</h1>';
	ishyoboy_custom_part_tagline( $lead );
}*/

/*if ( 'page' == get_option('show_on_front') ){

ishyoboy_get_part_tagline( $page->ID );

}

else{

$lead = '

' . get_bloginfo('name') . '

ishyoboy_custom_part_tagline( $lead );

}*/

6. Save the file and that’s it. Now the tagline will not be displayed on blog overview homepage.
