The button is called “Back to top” link. There is an option to turn it on and off in the ThemeOptions section under General Options.

If it is too big, you can reduce its size with a little custom CSS code. It has a class name “ish-back_to_top” which you can use to control it. Also to change the look only on special screen sizes then you can use css mediq queries.

To remove it completely override the “footer.php” file in a child theme (a starter one is provided in the downloaded files from us) and remove the following line:
