I would like to create a full height + full width row which will include a slidable element. This part is basic.

Inside the slidable element I would like each slide (which will span over the entire screen) to include a background image and some additional elements which will be vertically aligned to the middle of the screen (text, buttons etc..) in their own row.

Can you please explain how can this be achieved?

unfortunately the current version of the slider we have used does not support changing background images for every slide. We will thing about adding this option in the future.
But for now you have two possibilities how to achieve that.

1. For every “Single slide” you can add some class in Visual Composer in section “Use Advanced Global Attributes”.
And then in “Theme Options” -> “General Options” -> “Custom CSS” you can set some backgrounds for your added classes.

2. Use some other installed slider. ( Revolution slider or Layer slider )
