on my site http://www.designmutt.com the slider is cut off at the top on mobile. I’ve updated the theme and plugins and wp itself but it’s still the same.

Could you please provide a screenshot as we’re unable to see it. The slider seems fine on mobile as well. Are you referring to any special device?
