If I understood well, I have to add some text under Theme Options > General Options > Social icons, is that right ?
Where do I find the text to add the following icons ?
– LinkedIn (with a link to our LinkedIn account)
– Email (with a link “mailto…”)
– Print this page
– Link to another WordPress blog

It would be even better if those icons could appear on the side like in your demo https://themes.ishyoboy.com/?theme=boldial-wp but I think for that you need to install some plugin ?

First of all welcome and congratulations that you chose Boldial. We hope that working with it is pleasure and you are able to create anything you wish quickly and easily.

The code in the mentioned field should be the following by default:

These are shortcodes and you can change the icon, icon_url and all remaining parameters to fit your needs. Just experiment with them a little. To choose the right icon, open a new page and use the page builder to add an icon. Once the icon settings pop-up window shows you can see a list of all icons, so choose the correct one and once you keep the mouse over it for a second, the icon name will be showed in a bubble. Use this name to replace any of the icon attribute in the code above.

Try to setting the “url” parameter of the icon to the following:

url="url:javascript%3Awindow.print()%3B%20return%20false%3B||"

To explain how we got to it:
– Create an empty Page
– Use the Page Builder to add an icon and set its URL to “javascript:window.print(); return false;” which is the default way to make a link print the current page.
– Save the change
– Switch to classic editor
– Switch to “Text” tab of the classic WordPress Editor.
– Copy the URL parameter and replace the social icon one

I am trying to add the social icons in the header bar

I followed the same steps indicated here with no luck…

I have the default code in “Theme options” – “Header options” – “Social icons” but nothingis shown on my site:

it looks that you have breadcrumbs bar turned off on your homepage. Please open it for editing and search for “Page Settings”. Please make sure that option “Show breadcrumbs” is set to “Default setting”.
