social share buttons not working?

Hey

probably I’ve overlooked some basic thing, but I am finding that the social sharing buttons do not actually share the post, portfolio item, etc.

For example, if using the share by email button the email generated simply has this text:

This is worth reading: ##CURRENT_PAGE##

but no hyperlink etc.

Hey Jon,

You are right! Please open the file:

wp-content/plugins/ishyoboy-kopy-assets/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/backend/vc_extend/shortcodes_templates/ish_social_share.php

And replace the following lines:

// CONTENT
$return .= str_replace(array("\r\n", "\n", "\r", "<br />", "<br>"), '', $ish_options['addthis_share']);

1 2	// CONTENT $return .= str_replace(array("\r\n", "\n", "\r", " ", " "), '', $ish_options['addthis_share']);

With the updated version:

// CONTENT
$content = str_replace( '##CURRENT_PAGE##', urlencode( get_permalink() ) , $ish_options['addthis_share']);
$return .= str_replace(array("\r\n", "\n", "\r", "<br />", "<br>"), '', $content);

// CONTENT

$content = str_replace( '##CURRENT_PAGE##', urlencode( get_permalink() ) , $ish_options['addthis_share']);

$return .= str_replace(array("\r\n", "\n", "\r", "
", "
"), '', $content);

This will surely fix it. This change will be part of the next update so you are absolutely safe to replace it in the plugin files.

Hey Jon.

Sure thing. The file is located on your web server. You should probably be able to access it via FTP. You should then go into your WordPress installation folder and follow the path mentioned above.
