Stop displaying a specific Custom Meta Field on Portofolio Detail

Hey there,

I am using the theme ‘Qusq Pro’ and whenever I want to publish a portfolio, the custom field “switch_like_status=1” appears. I already deleted it, but it appears again when the portfolio is updated.

Hi,

You can use the child theme we provide along with the theme. In it, add the following code to functions.php and then upload and activate your child theme.

function my_filter_portfolio_meta_fields( $output, $key, $value ) {

	if ( 'switch_like_status' == $key )
		return false;

	return $output;
}
add_filter( 'the_meta_key', 'my_filter_portfolio_meta_fields', 10, 3 );

function my_filter_portfolio_meta_fields( $output, $key, $value ) {

if ( 'switch_like_status' == $key )

return false;

return $output;

}

add_filter( 'the_meta_key', 'my_filter_portfolio_meta_fields', 10, 3 );

This will disable the mentioned value from displaying. It seems it comes from a custom plugin. Hope this helped. Let us know.

Hey there,

thank your for your quick answer. I tried different variations and it seems that it happens when I untick “Show likes” in the portfolio page. Probably a Jetpack issue.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting it. We will have a look and add a fix in the next update since it is a native JetPack thing. For now please use the custom fix!

The field should have been named “_switch_like_status” with a leading underscore “_”. In that case it would have been ignored.
