Submenu items overflow the viewport

Hi,

In our client’s menu we have several submenu’s under the main menu.
The submenu’s on the far right of the main menu are that long, that they fall behind the edge of the browser.

I vaguely remember seeing menu items being positioned to the left of the drop-down menu when they overflow the viewport. Isn’t this part of the Minicorp theme?
Is there a ready-to-go fix for this?

Hi,

Please open the file “wp-content\themes\minicorp\assets\html\core\libs\js\plugins.js” and replace the code on line 53:

second.css({
	"left": -1 + 1 + jQuery(this).parent().width()
});

second.css({

"left": -1 + 1 + jQuery(this).parent().width()

});

With the code below:

var me_parent = jQuery(this).parent();
var submenu_width = me_parent.offset().left + me_parent.width() + currChild.width();

second.css({
	"left": -1 + 1 + me_parent.width()
});

if ( me_parent.hasClass("sub-menu") && submenu_width >= jQuery(window).width() ){
	second.css({
		"left": -1 * currChild.width()
	});
}

var me_parent = jQuery(this).parent();

var submenu_width = me_parent.offset().left + me_parent.width() + currChild.width();

second.css({

"left": -1 + 1 + me_parent.width()

});

if ( me_parent.hasClass("sub-menu") && submenu_width >= jQuery(window).width() ){

second.css({

"left": -1 * currChild.width()

});

}

This should detect if the sub-menu overflows the screen width and move it to the left. Please clear your browser’s cache after applying the change and let us know if it fixed the problem.

I would recommend placing it in future updates to the theme so that I don’t overwrite it again with old code.
