Tabs stopped working & Charts use default color, not the one defined in Theme Options

I am working on a page with charts and part way through editing the content the charts and tabs stopped working correctly and I can’t see why. One moment they were all fine then the charts disappeared and the tab contents isn’t showing up. Can you see a error in the code below that might causing this?

Hey the problem is:

[tabs_navigation pair="tab_set_6" vertical="yes" active="yes"]

the active=”yes” parameter should be placed on one of the titles not on the whole tabs_navigation. E.g.:

Great stuff thanks. Hoe about the Charts issue? The type inside the chart is still there but the actual progress track vanished for some unknown reason. Can you see an error in the code there as well?

*its started working again now! Weirds. Although the colours set aren’t showing and it is the default orange that is rather than the defined corolla option Ive set. That has happened before with the colours being overridden y the defaults even though they aren’t in the code line. Is this a bug?

Hey,

Not sure I’m following. The code provided for each chart contains:

track_color="#ccc" bar_color="color1"

So the bg color should be #ccc and the bar color the default orange color. What did you mean by the “corolla” option? The colors can be set either by constants “color1 – color5” or by hexadecimal value starting with hash followed by 6 characters. E.g. “#FF0000”.

Ah I might be getting the problem now. Have you changed the default “color1” in theme options from orange to a different color? But when you use the constant it gets replaced by the default color instead?

Please define this function in your child-theme’s functions.php:

function ishyoboy_colors_to_hex($input){
	global $ish_options;
	$output = $input;

	for ($i = 4; $i >= 1; $i--) {
		$output = str_replace('color' . $i, $ish_options['color' . $i], $output);
	}

	return $output;

Yeah I’v altered the ‘color1’ option to a new color that works everywhere else but in the charts it seems to want to revert to defaults. Im not sure I understand the child-theme edit info though; you say to define it. Does that mean to define it as my altered color via its hex number? Also where is the child-theme.php located?

Hi Patrick,

Please use the starter child theme we have provided along with the parent theme. Edit the “functions.php” file in it and enter the code we provided at the complete bottom of the file.

Now upload and activate the theme on your server. You will have to set the right navigation menu again under “Appearance -> Menus” as child theme will not remember this selection from the parent theme.
